About this instrument
The Excelsior AS is an enclosed automated tissue processor that will transfer your fixed samples into paraffin in three steps. (1) Dehydration by EtOH is increasing concentrations. (2) Clearing by three steps of 100% Xylene which will replace EtOH and (3) embedding in wax paraffin by repeated incubation in 100% wax which will replace Xylene.
